Australia pits Google and Facebook against the mainstream media with a single Bill.

 Australia has recently introduced a Bill that would force Google and Facebook to pay journalists for hosting their content on their platforms. This is good news in every possible way. They have an incentive to stop fake news, Journalists stop getting laid off, independant journalists receive a more stable income, and finally, best of all, the unholy alliance of Google, Facebook, Big tech and all the Mainstream media companies owned by AT&T and Warner Bros will finally have a big old wrench thrown in it. This is the best news of the year, it is literally perfect. I am in joy!
